Selecting the right paper for your brochure

Choosing the right paper is an essential part of your brochure both from a quality and budget point of view. We only use high quality papers that give the best result time after time. 

We offer a plain sample of your brochure before printing so you can see the look and feel before production commences.

We can also offer designer papers with different textures and finishes, and we make sure the correct printing techniques are applied when using these specialist papers.

Textured papers can give a beautiful feel to your brochure but may not always be necessary or viable from a cost perspective. Our experts will offer guidance and advice on the most suitable papers for your brochure requirements before printing commences.

Artwork  

Making sure your artwork is set up correctly for printing is the next key stage. When quoting we will advise on how the artwork file should be set up to make it print ready.

All customer supplied artwork is given a free file check before production, with  this check you can be sure that there are no unwelcome surprises when your brochure goes into production.

We check your file for things like image resolution, fonts are set up correctly, position of text and images on the page, bleed and that the size is correct.

Proofing

For most brochure projects now an electronic PDF proof is satisfactory for sign off for content. Alternatively we can provide a full printed digital proof in either flat sheet form, or even a complete made up proof copy of your brochure on the paper it will be printed on prior to production.

Once your artwork and proofs are approved, and the specification and pricing agreed then it’s time to get printing with your brochures.

We use the latest technology and printing presses to ensure the quality of your brochure is maintained throughout the production run.

Binding

Most brochures are either saddle stitched (stapled) or perfect bound. At RLS Print and Design we offer both of these kinds of binding, as well as additional specialist binding such as loop and stitch and wire binding. 

Finishing touches... make your brochures stand out! 

To really make your brochure stand out we offer a wide range of finishing touches, such as lamination, spot UV varnishing, die cutting, tabs etc.
